Durfee, Frazier Named Region 10 All-Defensive Team
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif — Brendan Durfee and John Frazier represeneted Cal Lutheran baseball on the 2023 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Kingsmen baseball was one of three school to land two athletes on the Region 10 team. They were the only team from the SCIAC to garner two. Durfee recorded a .992 fielding percentage at the catcher position 241 putouts and 21 assists. He had only two erros in 45 games. Frazier had a perfect fidling percentage on the mound with two putouts and 15 assists.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee. Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors. The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced Wednesday, June 21.
